Japanese Beetles

Got iridescent green beetles creeping in your bushes or trees? How about on your flowers or your favorite plants? You might just have Japanese beetles! Japanese beetles are relatively small pests that pack a big punch. Once you find these little critters on your plants, time is of the essence to get rid of them. They are one of the major insects that cause monumental damage to plants each year. They can devour most foliage on plants and leave your leaves looking “skeletonized” (i.e., where only the veins of the plant remain) or cause brown patches of dead or dying grass to form on the lawn. While they tend to favor roses, they unfortunately do not discriminate when it comes to what type of plants they choose to feed on.
